These speakers can handle a lot more watts than your unit is putting out. You will be better off purchasing an amplifier like the PLTA180
Can I connect it as a crossover?
Yes it is highly recommended using the crossovers they easy to connect. Use the front speaker out of the head unit into the input of the crossover.
