    Yes it can be used even without the remote control. The controls on the top of the speaker can also be used. The power switch is on the back. The input button changes the speaker to radio/Bluetooth/line etc.

    How long does it take to recharge?

    It doesn’t have a built-in battery so you have to plug it into your wall outlet.
