Not working

You will need to attach an external mic to PIPCAM5 inorder to get sound. The unit does not have a built in mic. It is possible to disable the camera flashing light. Type the camera’s IP address into your browser and sign in “admin” “admin” is default username and password. Then go to “system” and “indicator settings” to make changes to the flashing light.

How do I reset and change the camera’s password?

The camera has 2 passwords one is the Pyle IP app PIN. I set up my camera and sometimes see a feed from someone else. How can I fix it?

This issue is caused by a duplicate camera UID. You are seeing this feed because the customer did not change the camera password from factory defaults. Open a support ticket and request that we generate a new GUID for the camera. We will send the replacement value. You can update the camera by signing in to the web UI and replacing the factory set GUID with the new code under Network-P2P Settings

My camera is having trouble with the pan and tilt function. What can I do?

Sometimes the camera PTZ function can stick at the greatest ranges of pan or tilt. Restart the camera by re-plugging the power cord. See if you are able to assist the camera in the direction it is attempting to turn by gently turning it. This is often enough to realign the camera with the gear track and restore movement.

I forgot my password OR The default password does not work.

You can reset the camera to factory defaults by performing a hardware reset. Press and hold in the reset button with a pin for 15-20 seconds until you see the camera respond. When the camera reboots the passwords will be reset: App user name: admin app password: 000000 webui user name: admin web ui password: admin

Are these cameras secure? Can others see my video feed?

Manufacturer default passwords are used across many models and the user must change the password in both the app and the web UI to ensure security. Please change the passwords as soon as you set up the camera.

How do I change the camera password in the mobile app?

Connect the camera to the Pyle IP app. Go to advanced settings and security Code to access the password change wizard.

Log into the camera web UI. (See instructions in manuals and downloads) Navigate to System – Users and Settings to find the password change option.

What is the difference between PIPCAM5 and PIPCAM8?

Pipcam8 has a few more features including higher image resolution SD card slot for recording and built in mic and speaker for talk and listen.
