I bought this horn with the understanding that the taps on the horn included an direct 8 Ohm tap through the back. Upon receiving the unit it appears that there is no bypassing the 70v transformer. I’m wanting to connect three of these together to a regular amp. I’m curious is one of the taps compatible or should I just (as I’m suspecting wire the unit directly from the speaker driver using my own cable/connector.
You can bypass the transformer all together by wiring directly to the speaker leads. By doing so you will sacrifice the long distance wiring potential that the 70v system offers.
