FAQ
making tea. So what are the specifics steps? Do I put ground coffee in the infuser? or Whole beans? If ground is there a recommendation on what type of grind? such as coarse etc.? The manual suggests 185°F for instant coffee but is 185°F correct for regular coffee? How long should it steep?
Since we are using a non-commercial coffee maker we recommended the 185 °F and the coffee grind you need is medium-coarse to medium.
Generally speaking coffee brewed with grounds that are too coarse are going to be weak and less flavorful due to being under-extracted. On the other hand if the coffee is ground too fine it can be over-extracted and taste bitter if you’re using the wrong brewing method.
You might be needing a Coffee filter so that you can separate any fine coffee grind to the liquid.
Approximately 5 minutes for steeping.
