    Is it compatible with PDWR42WBT speakers?

    The PDWR42WBT is a stand-alone speaker it has a built-in amplifier that runs both active and passive speakers. It also has Bluetooth to help connect your smartphones wirelessly. With your PFA540BT. you need passive speakers to make this one work. This one is a surround sound amplifier that needs 5 speakers being the center front left front right back left and Back right. You can also have an active subwoofer connected to it for optimum sound quality.

    Will this unit take multichannel audio (from a laptop) via HDMI into its input to disperse across the Surround channels?

    Yes once a 5.1 signal is fed into the unit it will automatically decode the signal and distribute it to all five channels

    Does this device support HDMI ARC?

    The HDMI on the TV is input not output and this has no HDMI ARC.
